The aurora of the 29th October 2025 was, to a certain extent, anticipated as a previously active region on the sun returns to face the earth. How many more times will it provide aurora I have wondered every rotation for quite some time.
I have archived a couple of short clips from this event - from Cliff Cam 3 and from Burradale as they had the best views. The event was active later in the evening and many viewers would have missed it.
Typical of the auroras seen from Shetland with mainly a green display but impressive to watch all the same.
As always, use the x4 speed on the video player to make the best use of your time.
