The aurora of 30th November 2025 was again anticipated but it also made it’s performance later in the evening. Burradale got the best views as cloud was a problem across most of Shetland.
This event was certainly less active than previous rotations but it was more like the aurora we would see outside the solar peaks. It starts with the appearance of the auroral arc, brightens and then becomes active before fading.
The activity is lower on the horizon and mainly green so I am posting this as an example of the auroral events that will become more standard as we move into the declining phase of Solar Cyle 25.
