RedEye Members get their own private Up Helly Aa Live Stream in 2024

We invite our RedEye members to an exclusive marathon live Up Helly Aa stream from sunset on Monday 29th until the dawn breaks on Wednesday 31st January 2024 - the morning after the night before.

Additional live views from across Lerwick will cover Up Helly Aa Day with sights and sounds from places we have never broadcast before. The Junior Procession is our final test before the main event but RedEye members will be able to watch this live.

Hosted by award-winning journalist and broadcaster Tom Morton you will meet the team and get an insight into what goes on behind the scenes to bring this event to a global online audience. It is absolutely live so expect anything and everything! No rehersals and absolutely no scripts…

RedEye+ members will have access to additional “FaceCams” (which will focus on all the squads entering the burning site) - another new innovation for 2024.

Existing RedEye & RedEye+ members need to do nothing more than login and use the following link:

If you would like to become a member for the day, month or year then use the link below to make your donation. Remember that it can take up to 24 hours to make your account live. This is not a Pay-Per-View (PPV) stream so please make sure your account is created by Sunday 28th January.

If you sign-up after the event is over you will still be able to access all the archive material until 29th February.

Our headline sponsors are Northlink and PromoteShetland and they will be broadcasting the main event live from 1900GMT on their social channels as usual.

The provision of this unique live broadcast was made possible with the donations from our RedEye members. Please consider supporting the development of this platform and together we can continue to innovate and inspire.

Up Helly Aa is always the last Tuesday in January

Shetland Webcams are online 24x7x365 thanks to our sponsors, advertisers and RedEye member donations.
